11 x 15 inch watercolor inspired by Granville Redmond (1871 - 1935) was a California painter, a Tonalist whose contemplative style evoked a calm. His Impressionism lent to colorful & dramatic scenes. Granville became deaf at 2 years due to Scarlet Fever and learned to paint in special schools. He wished "to paint pictures of solitude and silence."
